Biographical Text:

Borzenko was a translator in the office of Prince M. S. Vorontsov. Later he served as vice-governor of Kutaisi. Borzenko was a corresponding member of the Odessa Society of History and Antiquities.

Vorontsov charged Borzenko with translating all of the Arabic and Ottoman inscriptions found at the khan's palace, mosque, and cemetery in Bahcesaray. He translated 125 between 1836 and 1840.
